Join us in the Grand Lobby for an afternoon performance by the 484th Army Reserve Band Woodwind Ensemble from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The concert repertoire will include both classical and popular selections.

Military bands are a proud U.S. tradition dating from colonial times. The first local American military band was recorded in 1653 and was a part of the New Hampshire militia.

Armed services support bands (like The Presidents Own band, which performs at the White House during official state occasions) have been an important part of special events, including military funerals, ship commissionings, and change of command and promotion ceremonies. Bands also entertain deployed troops, in parades and in concert. There are more than 100 active-duty and reserve bands in the United States.
