"New to Nashville" Night at the Frist

Enjoy FREE Admission; 4:00–9:00 p.m.

Are you new to the area? Whether you’ve been here two days, two weeks, two months, or two years, if you are still exploring our exciting city, we invite you to visit the Frist Center as our guests on Friday, June 23, from 4:00 p.m. until we close at 9:00 p.m.

All you have to do is identify yourself as “new to Nashville” at our Visitor Services desk to receive free gallery admission and discounted parking. (Visitors 18 and younger are always admitted free of charge.)

June 23 is the first day to see a brand-new exhibition, Ancestral Modern, featuring beautiful Australian Aboriginal art from the Kaplan & Levi Collection. This is just one of four amazing contemporary art exhibitions on view.

And there’s MUSIC. Neo Soul vocalist Tramaine Arte'Mis and her terrific band will be performing in the Frist Center Café from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (You might have heard them at the Music City Jazz Festival last month.)

We hope you’ll be with us for a fun night!

Current Exhibitions:
State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now
Vadis Turner: Tempest

Pattern Recognition: Art and Music Videos in Middle Tennessee
Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levi Collection (opens June 23)
