ART:21— Art in the 21st Century screening Episode: Boundaries
Frist Center Members and NPT Members
Tickets available through Eventbrite
The Frist Center, in partnership with NPT, presents a screening of the award-winning series Art: 21 — Art in the Twenty-First Century. Now in its sixth season, the Peabody Award–winning biennial television series has established itself as one of the country’s preeminent chroniclers of contemporary art and artists.
Art in the Twenty-First Century, Season Six, includes 13 profiles of artists from five continents gathered into four one-hour thematic episodes: Change, Boundaries, History, and Balance. This season features the most active and influential artists working today who challenge convention, create innovative forms, launch experimental media, explore natural phenomena, and demonstrate the power of art to alter perception.
The "Boundaries" episode features David Altmejd, whose work is included in the current Frist Center exhibition Fairy Tales, Monsters, and the Genetic Imagination.
